The place I'm about hip you too is the Kountry Kitchen, in Indianapolis. Ray J, Jimmy Fallon, Taraji P. Henson, and even President Barack Obama would co-sign the Kountry Kitchen’s greatness.
From the outside you may say to yourself, this joint looks like a corner store in the ghetto, but once you cross their threshold you'll know you’re in the place to be. The first thing that catches your eye is the wall of fame, which is scattered with celebrities’ photos who chowed downed on their five-star soul food.
You can dine in or take a platter to go. I have done both and the service was on point. They serve breakfast, Lunch, and dinner. For breakfast I ordered chicken and waffles, my date got grits and shrimps, both dishes were great. For dinner I ordered fried pork chops, cabbage, and yams. The first bite of the chops made me moan and the sides made me do the same. The portions and prices, put this place on my return list.
